Christina Barbato is an associate with the firm practicing civil litigation primarily in the areas of insurance, personal injury, product liability, administrative and class action law. Christina first joined Rochon Genova LLP in 2005 as an articling student.
Christina has been successful in achieving outstanding results for her clients through litigation, advocacy, negotiation and mediation. She works closely with her clients to provide clear and strategic advice, and achieve the most favourable outcome for their case.
Christina has been successful in representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants in the areas of Long Term Disability and class action litigation. Christina has helped many individuals appeal for CPP disability benefits and has appeared before the (former) Pension Appeal Board on several occasions. Christina is well liked and respected by her clients as she dedicates much time to ensuring they understand all aspects of their case from inception to resolution.
Christina obtained her Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in 2002, her LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2005 and was called to the Bar in July of 2006. While studying at McMaster University, Christina led a number of committees organizing various faculty events. During law school, Christina volunteered at Community Living Windsor, Community Legal Aid and Pro Bono Students Canada. She also completed a co-op at the University of Windsor Mediation Clinic.
