Meredith has over 16 years’ experience as a dedicated litigation law clerk, 15 of which have been spent specializing in Plaintiff Civil Sexual Assault, Institutional Abuse and Aboriginal Rights, including multi-survivor and complex litigation cases. Meredith has worked in the litigation field since 1996 and began working exclusively with Susan M. Vella, L.S.M. in 2001.
The breadth of Meredith’s experience, together with her passion for helping survivors access and obtain justice, is an invaluable asset to our clients as she plays an integral role that is essential to the practice. Meredith’s knowledge and efficiency during all aspects of the litigation process, including the initial stages of litigation, the discovery process and trials, ensures clients receive quality, cost-efficient results throughout their actions.
Meredith has been a Member of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO) since 2000. In May 2016, she received designation as a Certified Expert in Civil Litigation by ILCO. In September 2016, Meredith was admitted as a Fellow Member of ILCO and received designation as a Legal Executive.
Meredith is also a Commissioner of Oaths and a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association – Law Clerks Section. Meredith graduated with President and College Honours from the Legal Administration (Law Clerk) Program at Durham College in 1996.
