The Special Lectures series is offered through the Law Society of Upper Canada. It began in 1943 and has become a time-honoured tradition known for its exceptional quality and distinguished speakers who are considered to be amongst the elite of the legal profession.
Rochon Genova LLP is pleased to announce that our colleague, Susan M. Vella, has been invited to speak at this year's program focusing on Personal Injury Law.
Ms. Vella's topic is A Gender and Aboriginal Based Analysis of Damages in Sexual Abuse Cases. She will focus on: the undervaluation of sexual harms and proposals for redress; and case law trends in damage (non-pecuniary and economic loss) awards and their implications.
