Patricia LeFebour is an income partner with the firm. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1994. Since her call to the Bar, Patricia has represented plaintiffs in medical malpractice and health matters, class actions, constitutional law, pensions and estates. She joined the firm in 2006 after practicing with a litigation boutique firm in Toronto and will continue to represent plaintiffs.
Educational Background
Patricia has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Economics from York University and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Toronto. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1992.
Key Cases
Patricia has appeared before all levels of courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Prior to joining Rochon Genova LLP, Patricia appeared as co-counsel for plaintiffs on class actions, including Hislop v. Canada, dealing with Canada Pension Plan survivor pensions. Patricia appeared as co-counsel for the Canadian AIDS Society at the Commission of Inquiry on the Blood System in Canada ("Krever Inquiry"). She also acted as co-counsel for an intervener in Supreme Court of Canada appeals such as Vriend v. Alberta, Latimer v. Canada, Little Sisters v. Canada, and Hodge v. Canada.
Community Involvement and Interests
Patricia is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and is the past co-chair of the Ontario Bar Association's Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Conference. She is also a member of the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto. Patricia enjoys cross-country skiing, photography and classical guitar. She is fluent in English and French.
