Peter Durant joined Rochon Genova as an associate in 2006. Peter carries a practice focused in litigation including personal injury. Prior to joining Rochon Genova, he was an associate with a litigation practice in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Educational Background

In 2001, Peter received a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-Op) (Hons.) degree from Memorial University and in 2004 a Bachelor of Laws with a Certificate in Business Law from Dalhousie University. Peter was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 2005 and to the Ontario Bar in 2006.

Publications, Presentations and Key Cases:

Peter has worked on a number of high profile cases including the representation of clients in mass tort claims of sexual, physical and emotional abuse against institutional, religious and government organizations. He has also assisted senior counsel on the Lamer Inquiry Report pertaining to the wrongful convictions of Randy Druken, Gregory Parsons and Ronald Dalton.

Community Involvement

Peter is an avid and passionate golfer and downhill skier.
