Peter Ivanyi is an income partner with the firm. Peter has gained a solid grounding in a traditional litigation practice before turning his professional focus to immigration/refugee law, as well as family law, with an emphasis on custody, support and access matters. Peter joined the firm in 2000.
Educational Background
Peter is an honours graduate of the University of Toronto (Political Science and American Constitutional Law, 1991) and received his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1994. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996.
Peter is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and of the Canadian Bar Association's Family Law and Immigration Subsections. He is also a member of the Refugee Lawyers Association.

Peter regularly appears before the Federal Court of Canada, Trial Division, The Immigration and Refugee Board, and at various Superior and Ontario Courts of Justice.

Community Involvement
Peter is an Executive member of the Rotary Club of Toronto and of the Rakoczi Foundation. Peter and his wife have three children. He coaches junior baseball and practices Karate in his spare time. Peter is fluent in English and Hungarian.
