Nahid Atrchin

Biography

Nahid is an associate in the Civil Sexual Abuse/Assault and Indigenous Rights practice groups at Rochon Genova LLP.

Her practice is devoted to empowering survivors of sexual abuse advancing their claims against individuals, institutions, and religious organizations. Nahid also enjoys acting for First Nations on complex constitutional, regulatory, and transactional matters. She aims to voice her clients’ legal rights and is dedicated to using her knowledge and passion to provide the best results for them.

Before joining Rochon Genova, Nahid worked at the Ministry of the Attorney General, Crown Law Office – Civil, representing the provincial government and working on a broad range of civil litigation involving Crown liability, class actions, complex personal injury files, and Indigenous claims. Nahid worked on diverse litigation matters and attended various hearings.

Nahid holds an LLM in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Law Society of Ontario in June 2022. Prior to becoming a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Nahid was called to the Iranian Central Bar Association in July 2013. As an associate, and later a sole practitioner, in Iran, she conducted trials in estate litigation in numerous multi-party intestacy claims and prosecuted construction fraud cases, where she had the opportunity to litigate in both civil and criminal courts. Nahid zealously represented her clients in trials and appeals and appeared before all levels of court in Iran, including Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Iran.

Nahid is an avid yoga practitioner and enjoys horseback riding. She is a former member of the Polo Federation of Iran.
