Menu Foods – Agreement In Principal

 

On April 1, 2008, the parties in the North American Menu Foods litigation reached an agreement in principle. ROCHON | GENOVA LLP, along with other Canadian law firms, was instrumental in achieving this agreement.

The final settlement requires approval of the courts in Canada and the United States. However, under the agreement, upon submitting a claim form, Class Members will be entitled to receive monetary compensation for economic damages incurred as a result of injury or death of their pets, the costs of screening healthy pets, and the reimbursement of their pet food costs. The amounts payable may be subject to certain maximum limits. You should retain any documents, receipts, or pet food packaging material related to the Menu Foods recall.

Once the agreement has been finalized, this website will be updated to provide information for each class member on how, when and where to submit a claim in order to receive compensation. This website will also be updated regularly to provide details of the court hearings to approve the settlement. More…
