Plaintiffs need ongoing commitment and support against wrongdoing

On Behalf of | Nov 23, 2016 | Class Action Litigation |

One of the most significant hallmarks for success in any class action litigation is having a team of lawyers who never give up. Many class action suits go on for a long time before they are resolved. What plaintiffs need most during this time is an active legal team that remains involved in the case for its duration.

One of our firm’s examples of this level of commitment is our efforts to bring justice to those harmed by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, or CIBC. Earlier this month, we released a statement reminding Canadians about our ongoing legal efforts.

The potential class action litigation against CIBC centers on the bank making false representations to the public. In 2012, Justice Strathy denied the plaintiffs’ “motion for leave to assert secondary market claims.” However, the plaintiffs did not give up and neither did our lawyers. After filing appeals, the proposed class action litigation shows signs of moving forward under the Ontario Securities Act.

Hopefully, our continuing involvement with the plaintiffs of the CIBC litigation shows people who have been wronged just how effective a dedicated legal team can be. Regardless of the injustice, good lawyers care about making victims as whole as possible and are ready to work tirelessly on their behalf.

Our website is filled with up-to-date information about the services we provide to residents of Canada and, specifically of Ontario. We invite you to look over our webpages to see how we may be able to help if you are a victim of injustice or wrongdoing involving the CIBC.
